Senior Instrument Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur
Responsibilities:
  • Hierarchically reports to: Department Manager
  • Operationally reports to: Department Manager
  • Directly supervises : Instrument Engineers of lesser experience, designers and draftsman.
  • Key interactions (internally, externally):
  • Internally : Lead Instrument Engineer, Instrument Engineer, Designers and Draftsman. Other
  • department engineers/ designers, project or engineering
  • Externally : Client and Vendors.
Requirements:
  • Recognized Engineering Degree related to Instrumentation and Control.
  • Minimum 10- 15 years in Instrumentation and Controls covering proposal preparation, conceptual engineering, FEED and detailed engineering for onshore/ offshore oil & gas facilities.
  • Familiar with International Codes & Standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, NFPA, NEC, ATEX, BS, IEC, ISO, NACE, DEPs, PTS, etc.
  • Registered as P.Eng with Board of Engineers Malaysia or internationally recognized equivalent.
  • Field experience
Desirable Skills:
  • Conduct site survey.
  • Prepare specifications as per Project/ Lead Engineer’s requirements.
  • Check and ensure the documents prepared are of good quality.
  • Vendor Bid Evaluations and Vendor Data Review
  • Conduct Kick-Off Meetings.
  • Responsible for correctness of work any assigned subordinate.
  • Participate in FAT and SATs.
