Construction Manager (CM) / Construction Superintendent (CS)

Location: Port Dickson. Malaysia
Responsibilities:
  • Direct coordinates and monitor the activities of construction work.
  • As a focal point / channel for a discussion related to construction matter with Clients Representative.
  • Finalize construction plans including organization, staffing and administration, subject to review by the Project Manager.
  • To assist Project Manager in the selection of Construction Site Personnel to be assigned at job site.
  • To coordinate all construction related matters with Project, Engineering and Procurement/Logistic Department at Home Office.
  • Finalize the construction schedule and procedures to ensure good workmanship, safe construction and on-schedule performance.
  • Review and confirm subordinates/subcontractor reports on progress, materials, manpower, construction equipment, Variation Order etc.
  • Approves and control job site expenditures within Project budget.
  • To monitor and analyses construction work progress for each work discipline and take proper as required.
  • Review and approve minor field purchasing of materials at jobsite.
  • To approve any application for annual leave, outstation trip, claims etc. for Site Personnel.
  • Evaluation of staff’s performance.
  • Reporting :
  • Preparing reports on job progress/status. Construction schedule update as required by Client and Project Manager.
  • To prepare the overall construction close-out report at the end of project duration.
  • Quality Responsibilities :
  • As a key representatives of Site Team for implementing ISO 9001:2008 requirements and to ensure the current Working System comply with the requirements of Quality Management System including Corrective and Preventive Action.
  • Manages all activities at the site including the implementation of QMS and Corrective and Preventive Action
  • Approves disposition of non-conforming products proposed by Subcontractor.
  • Liaises with Client representative on all construction matters
  • Monitors and controls the construction activities
  • Reports to the PM on all the construction activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Science Degree in any Engineering Major, holding a position of Engineer and above or having experience more than 8 years.
  • Handled Primavera Projects & EPC projects
