Our Client is a Solution provider for offshore construction engineering project management and support services involved in Pipeline installation and construction, Platform installation and removal, deepwater/ SURF installations, Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) and diving to the Oil and Gas industry.

Location: Kuala Lumpur
Responsibilities:
  • Will be responsible for the global performance analysis of offshore floating vessel concept configurations, sizing and design studies for drilling and production designs as well as client specific floaters, including semi-submersibles, jack ups and drill ships. This includes the design, sizing and numerical analysis of motions, stability, station keeping and mooring systems using industry and regulatory criteria.
  • He shall be responsible for the preparation of all marine engineering analyses and procedures relating to the load out, transportation and installation of structures and equipment offshore.
  • He shall advise the Project Management Team on all issues related to the environmental loads on offshore structures such as limiting sea state criteria for transportation and installation operations
  • Develop hydrodynamic panel models and perform first order vessel motion and second order slow drift calculations
  • Perform design and analysis related to stability aspects for floating offshore structures using appropriate software according to various regulatory design codes
  • Prepare and assess load cases for stability, lightship and strength calculations and weight control
  • Organize and perform all necessary activities for an inclining experiment
  • Assess results for a global performance analysis
  • Perform hull concept configuration, sizing and design studies
  • Develop initial station keeping sizing for dynamic positioning system
  • Design mooring system including equipment sizing, cost and numerical analysis
  • Travel internationally and to offshore installations.
Requirements:
  • Must have a recognized degree in Naval Architecture
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the offshore or marine industry and minimum 3 years in similar capacity in offshore oil and gas upstream industry is essential and fully conversant with engineering analyses and preparing procedures for load out, transportation and installation work of offshore structures and pipelines.
